How to make your lipstick last longer!

Love lipstick but hate the way you ALWAYS have to re-apply every few hours? Read on to find out how to stretch out the longevity of your lipstick!

Step 1: Moisturize your lips

Apply a lip balm or pawpaw ointment and let that sit for about 10 minutes before applying your lipstick. I like to do this first, then go ahead and do the rest of my makeup while that sits.

Step 2: Exfoliate

If you have particularly dry lips, it is best to exfoliate your lips before applying any colour to them. This will help prevent lipstick from cracking or chipping off. You can do this simply by using a wet face towel, gently rubbing over the lips.

Step 3: Line your lips

Once you have used the lip liner to line your lips, also use the lip liner to fill in your lips. This way , when the lipstick starts to wear off, you will see the lip liner rather than your lips, and it won't be so obvious that you need to touch up!

Step 4: Lipstick

Lightly apply a layer of lipstick. Remember, less is more. When it comes to lipstick, the thicker you apply it, the more of a chance you have of it sliding off or bleeding.

Step 5: Remove excess

Using a tissue and your finger tip, dab off excess lipstick.

Step 6: Lipstick

Re-apply another thin layer of lipstick.

Step 7: Remove excess

And you're done!
